Buffalo City: (ANC majority)
ANC – 58.74% – 60 seats
DA – 23.4% – 24 seats
EFF – 7.97% – 8 seats
AIC – 3.42% – 4 seats
PAC, UDM, COPE, ACDP – Less than 1% – 1 seat each


City of Cape Town (DA majority)
DA – 66.61% – 154 seats
ANC – 24.36% – 57 seats
EFF – 3.17% – 7 seats
ACDP  – 1.21% – 3 seats
Aljama – 0.66% –  2 seats
AIC, FFPlus, DI, UDM, CMC, PAC, COPE, PA – Less than 1% – 1 seat each


City of Johannesburg  (Hung council) 
ANC – 44.55% – 121 seats
DA – 38.37% – 104 seats
EFF – 11.09% – 30 seats
IFP – 1.72% – 5 seats
AIC – 1.5% – 4 seats
FFPlus, ACDP, Aljama, UDM, Cope, PA – Less than 1% – 1 seat each


City of Tshwane (Hung council)
DA – 43.11% – 93 seats
ANC – 41.22% – 89 seats
EFF – 11.7% – 25 seats
FFPlus – 1.99% – 4 seats
ACDP, Cope, PAC – Less than 1% – 1 seat each. 


Ekurhuleni (Hung council) 
ANC – 48.64% – 109 seats
DA – 34.15% – 77 seats
EFF – 11.23% – 25 seats
AIC – 1.64% – 4 seats
IFP – 1.02% – 2 seats
FF Plus, ACDP, PAC, PA, Cope, Irasa – Less than 1% – 1 seat each. 


eThekwini  (ANC majority) 
ANC – 56.01% – 126 seats
DA – 26.92% – 61 seats
IFP – 4.2% – 10 seats
EFF – 3.44% – 8 seats
AIC – 1.37% – 3 seats
ACDP, MF, DLC, TA, MOSA, APC, Aljama – Less than 1% – 1 seat each.


Mangaung (ANC majority)
ANC – 56.52% – 58 seats
DA – 25.96% – 27 seats
EFF – 8.66% – 9 seats
FF Plus – 1.92% – 2 seats
AIC – 1.69% – 2 seats
ANA, Cope – Less than 1% – 1 seat each


Nelson Mandela Bay metro (Hung council) 
DA – 46.71% – 57 seats
ANC – 40.92% – 50 seats
EFF – 5.12% – 6 seats
UDM – 1.91% – 2 seats
