The factional war in Tshwane that caused an outbreak of violence last month has been buried for now but will be confronted after the elections. Should the ANC perform badly in Gauteng, the guns will be out for the provincial leadership. If one or more municipalities fall to the opposition now, the ANC might lose the entire province in the 2019 national elections.
