Trump slams Clinton legacy of ‘death, terrorism’

By AFP 22 July 2016

Republican nominee for US president Donald Trump on Thursday savaged a legacy of "death" left by former secretary of state Hillary Clinton, his rival for the White House.

He blamed Clinton for giving rise to the Islamic State extremist group and for sowing chaos in Iraq, Libya, Syria and Egypt. He also slammed the Iran nuclear deal negotiated by the Obama administration.

“After four years of Hillary Clinton, what do we have? ISIS has spread across the region and the world. Libya is in ruins, and our ambassador and his staff were left helpless to die,” he said.

“This is the legacy of Hillary Clinton: death, destruction, terrorism and weakness.”
