Fifa suspends Nigerian Football Federation

On Monday world governing football body Fifa suspended the Nigerian Football Federation, owing to state interference in that country's football administration. The suspension means that the country will not be allowed to compete in any international, continental or regional competition. The condition will be lifted only when Fifa is satisfied that the Nigerian government has stopped meddling in football affairs, whenever that may be. Read more: Reuters, via TimesLive, Kickoff
