Pakistan accuses England of throwing match

Pakistan have been in hot water for match fixing during their English tour, but now Pakistan cricket chief Ijaz Butt has turned the tables, accusing the English cricket team of throwing Friday's one-day international. "There is loud and clear talk in bookie circle that some English players were paid enormous amounts of money to lose the (Oval) match," Butt told an Indian news channel. He'll have to come up with more compelling evidence, if he wants his accusations to be taken seriously, rather than be seen as an attempt to deflect attention from his own team's alleged match-fixing tendencies.
