Goodluck Jonathan announces presidential bid on Facebook and Twitter

Nigeria's president Goodluck Jonathan announced his presidential bid on Facebook and Twitter, rather unconventionally for an African leader (or any leader, for that matter). There had been much speculation on whether Jonathan would run or not, given that his incumbency unbalanced the delicate power balance between Nigeria's Christian south and Muslim north.
