Australia gets a government – but only barely
Australia will have a Labour government, with the two remaining undeclared independent Australian MPs, Rob Oakeshott and Tony Windsor, finally declaring for the incumbents. But it will have only a one-seat majority in Parliament. An hour before the duo announced their support for Julia Gillard's party, the third kingmaker independent Bob Katter split away, and pledged his support to the Coalition of Tony Abbott.
