Durban morgues sabotaged, strikers suspected

A KwaZulu Natal Department of Health official confirmed that a morgue in Durban had been sabotaged, possibly by striking workers. The morgue in question is the Magwaza Maphalala street morgue, where fridges have been turned off, tags cut off bodies and cadavers swapped around. Dissection tools and death registers are also missing. Criminal justice officers also expressed their extreme unhappiness at the incident, as the morgue is a vital component to their service.
