Former apartheid hit-squad member hands himself over to police

Joe Mamasela has handed himself over to police at the Jabulani Station in Soweto, after having been on the run since Saturday evening. Mamasela, a former member of Eugene de Kock's Valkplaas unit, was on the run after allegedly killing his landlord. No charges have been laid against him, though a murder investigation is currently underway, the police say. Read more: City Press
