Google renews its Web licence for China

Chinese authorities had renewed Google's Web licence, the company said on Friday. In January Google began automatically rerouting Chinese internet users to its Hong Kong Web page, which, unlike the Chinese version, provides uncensored results. But it discontinued this practice last week, after Beijing indicated Google would not have its licence renewed unless it toed the line. Read more: Reuters
