CNN fires senior editor over Tweet

CNN have fired senior editor Octavia Nasr, who was one of its team responsible for Middle Eastern coverage. Her crime was to post a Tweet about her respect for the late Lebanese cleric Grand Ayatollah Mohammed Hussein Fadlallah, who died on Saturday. According to CNN, Nasr's credibility was compromised. According to almost everyone else, it's CNN's credibility that's now been compromised.  Read more: Washington Post
