ANC Youth League president Julius Malema failed to show up at a scheduled appearance in Alexandra to speak at the Southern African Music conference on Tuesday. ANCYL spokesperson Floyd Shivambu confirmed to journalists that Malema was at a meeting between the Youth League and the ANC's top six officials (this despite the fact that President Jacob Zuma was in Cape Town on Tuesday). Shivambu said it was a general meeting, and would not provide specifics of the agenda. Malema may reschedule his address to the Southern African music conference to Wednesday.
