Family kills man in battle for the remote control

David Makoeya, a 61-year-old from Limpopo, was beaten to death on Sunday night. The culprits: his family. The "motive": a disagreement over what to watch on television. David wanted to watch Germany play Australia, instead of the gospel show favoured by his relatives. His wife, Francina, and son, Collin, are in jail, while his daughter, Lebogang, was granted bail on Tuesday. Sadly, the family's devotion to watching gospel on television doesn't appear to have translated to living by Christian morals in real life.  Read more: AP
