US to form a mini-army to protect its diplomats in Iraq – AP

The US State Department is quietly forming a small army of its own; its main task will be to protect the US diplomats in Iraq from early 2012, after the most of US forces leave Iraq at the end of 2012. The firepower will be provided by Pentagon, while the private contactors will provide security personnel. Read more: AP
