Russia may be sending troops to Kyrgyzstan

There is a dearth of confirmation right now, but reports out of Russia suggest that it is already sending troops – perhaps up to a battalion – to the south of Kyrgyzstan, where violence seems to be spiralling out of control. Russia is worried that it could get sucked into a regional conflict and is very keen on stamping out the flames pronto. Xinhua, Wall Street Journal, CNN
