Apple eclipses Microsoft, at least for now

Apple became more valuable, in terms of market capitalisation, than Microsoft, and is now the second biggest company in the US, with only oil giant Exxon Mobil topping it (albeit with a considerable margin). Although Apple has revenues pretty similar to those of Microsoft, its valuation is based largely in expectations of stellar future performance, while nobody seems to believe that Microsoft has any more tricks up its sleeve.
