Obama, Medvedev have talked on nuclear issues

One of those ubiquitous anonymous White House officials says presidents Barack Obama and Dmitry Medvedev spoke on Saturday about the ongoing negotiations for a replacement to the expired Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty (Start). Start expired on 5 December, but the two countries have spent the past several months negotiating a replacement treaty that would further decrease the size of the two nations’ nuclear arsenals.
