Obama will work with Congress (and rest of world) on climate

America’s senior environmental official, the Environmental Protection Agency’s Lisa Jackson, told the Copenhagen conference the Obama administration's moves to catch up on and cut greenhouse gases would be in tandem with congressional action and was not an effort to do an end-run around the Congress. Jackson made these comments the same day Tuvalu was rebuffed in its effort to demand action against major polluting countries. The EPA determined earlier this week that the greenhouse gas emissions endanger the health of Americans, and, as such, the pollutants should be regulated under the Clean Air Act and that the EPA can issue regulations without additional congressional legislation.
