The first decade of the 21st century has been the warmest “by far” since instrumental records began, says the UK Met Office and the World Meteorological Organisation. The WMO uses three temperature sets - from the UK Met Office and the University of East Anglia's Climatic Research Unit (CRU), and from the US National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration and NASA.
