Michael Jackson still winning awards

Despite being unable to accept the awards himself, Michael Jackson won four posthumous prizes at the American Music Awards. Jackson is now the most-honoured musician in the ceremony’s history with a total of 23 wins. Jackson was named best pop/rock male artist and best soul/R&B male artist at Sunday's ceremony in Los Angeles and his greatest hits compilation, Number Ones, won the best album award in both the pop/rock and soul/R&B categories. His brother Jermaine picked up the trophies and said his sibling's message “would live on forever”. Lots of big stars got awards, but Lady Gaga probably generated the most heat by playing a piano that caught fire during her performance. Really. For more, read the BBC
