Newest poll shows Obama’s support has slipped below 50%

The Quinnipiac Poll, released on Wednesday, shows Barack Obama's approval rating has fallen to 48%, down two points since October. On specific issues, Obama’s Afghan policy has fallen four points to 48% and his handling of the economy is only 43%. He still holds a 52% support level with women, but only 47% with men. He remains a favourite with blacks and Hispanics at 89% and 62% respectively.  The poll took place between 9 and 16 November, and has a margin of error of ±2%.
