Landslide engulfs houses after downpour

Seven schoolchildren were among some 20 people killed in a landslide in Tanzania after torrential rains triggered a flash flood in Kilimanjaro province. A four-day deluge brought down the side of a mountain, after drought had ravaged the area for the past two years. The regional commissioner said the torrent of mud hit a number of houses.
