Barnes & Noble’s Nook was nicked, or so says the suite

Remember the Barnes & Noble answer to Amazon's Kindle e-book reader? A company called Spring Design says the idea for the Nook was stolen from it, and it wants sales halted and damages awarded and B&N to generally admit what a bad boy it has been. Spring design is claiming the theft of trade secrets and a non-disclosure breach, mostly, because it showed designs for a very similar device called the Alex to B&N. The bookseller hasn't commented as yet, but if the case comes to trial it could be in a tough spot. Read more: The Register, CNet News
