Darfur aid workers freed

Two aid workers kidnapped in Sudan's Darfur region more than three months ago have been released. One, an Irish citizen, and the other, a Ugandan, were working for the Irish charity Goal when seized by gunmen. The Sudanese government confirmed the pair were freed, claiming no ransom was paid, despite reports the kidnappers had demanded $2 million. Two members of the UN-African Union peacekeeping force are still being held in Darfur by a different group. Read more: BBC
