The biggest Apple fan believes Windows 7 will hurt Apple

In recent years, none was more supportive of Apple then Piper Jaffray’s Gene Muster. The Minneapolis-based investment firm was at the forefront of support, and quite rightly so, on every strategic move Apple made. So Steve Jobs cannot be happy now that his biggest investment fan believes that soon-to-be-launched Windows 7 is so good it might hurt Apple’s PC market-share growth. Muster’s views are great news for Microsoft, after being globally ridiculed over their previous major operating system, Vista. Muster believes that Apple’s Snow Leopard is simply not strong-enough an upgrade to counter the new features and underlying technology introduced by Windows 7. Immediately after posting his opinion, Muster did reiterate his support for Apple stock, but was seeing growth, consistent with his previous statement mostly in consumer electronics space. Expect Mr Muster to get an angry call from Mr Jobs some time soon.
