Ghana’s government up in arms over telecom sale

In what has echoes of Telkom’s disposal of its stake in Vodacom, the sale of Ghana's state-owned telecoms firm to Britain’s Vodafone is both unconstitutional and illegal, according to a leaked Ghanaian government report. Vodafone recently bought a 70% stake in Ghana Telecom for $900 million. The report, seen by the BBC, says Ghana’s crown telecoms jewel was undervalued, and ultimately the price paid was less than $267million.
