Another earthquake off the coast of the Indonesian island of Sumatra hit the city of Padang, killing at least 75 people and trapping thousands more under rubble, an official said. The quake caused widespread panic across the city and a hospital in the city collapsed as well as the roof of the city’s airport. The 7.6 magnitude quake was felt throughout the region, as far as Singapore and Kuala Lumpur but authorities eventually cancelled the tsunami alert.
