Toyota US in the biggest car recall ever
This will leave some quality-conscious Japanese executive faces red: the world’s most valuable car manufacturer has announced that it will recall 3.8 million Toyota and Lexus cars over a potential problem with removable floor mats. Although relatively minor, the fault could have possibly disastrous consequences if the accelerator pedal got stuck, causing the car to speed up uncontrollably. American Transportation Secretary, Ray LaHood and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration got involved, urging US citizens to address the problem with haste. And as it often happens, the fix is annoyingly simple: take the driver’s floor mat and place it on passenger side.
