US President Barack Obama will travel to Denmark to support Chicago's bid for the 2016 Summer Olympics - the highest level White House lobbying yet for this international sports fest. Valerie Jarrett, a senior adviser, friend and fellow Chicagoan, announced Obama will join his wife in Copenhagen to make the pitch to the International Olympic Committee. He’ll be the first US president to appeal in person to host an Olympic games. Chicago faces tough competition from Rio de Janeiro, Madrid and Tokyo.
