Egyptian scholar denounces Chinese virginity device

In a move likely to tarnish China’s image in Islamic Africa, an Egyptian scholar has demanded the death penalty for people caught importing a female virginity-faking device from China. Egyptian parliamentarians want to ban the device which releases fake blood allowing women to pretend they’re virgins on their wedding night. It’s a cheap and simple alternative to hymen repair surgery done in secret by some clinics in the Middle East. Abdul Mouti Bayoumi said the device undermined the moral deterrent of fornication, which he described as a crime and one of the cardinal sins in Islam. This is a step up in mounting religious fervour in Sudan. A British schoolteacher was briefly jailed for allowing her class to name a teddy bear Muhammad and a local female journalist faced 40 lashes for wearing pants.
