Obama supports India in bid for permanent UN security council seat
US President Barack Obama, who is on a state visit to India, said on Monday that he would back India in its bid for a permanent place on the UN security council. India currently holds a two-year, non-permanent seat. The five permanent members of the council are Britain, China, France, Russia and the US.
