Petrol price to rise by 4c and 5c

The petrol price will rise by 4c a litre (for 93 unleaded petrol and lead-replacement petrol) and 5c a litre (for 95 unleaded petrol and lead-replacement petrol), the energy department announced on Friday. The hike will take effect on Wednesday 6 October. In contrast, diesel and paraffin prices will fall (by 3c and 1c a litre respectively).  Read more: Fin24
