Qur'an burning controversy claims its first victim

Troops opened fire and killed one protester in Afghanistan after crowds stormed a Nato base in Faizabad earlier today. The crowds were demonstrating outside a Nato base against the planned Qur'an burning by a Florida church. The 10,000 strong crowd of protesters hurled stones as they stormed the base, and the German troops stationed there then opened fire.
