China says it is concerned about North Korea
After insinuations by US President Barack Obama at the weekend that China was "wilfully blind" to the risks of the brewing conflict on the Korean Peninsula, Beijing has come out and denied such claims. Chinese foreign ministry spokesman Qin Gang said that, on the contrary, China felt "even more direct and serious concerns" than the US, owing to its proximity to North Korea.
