H1N1 vaccine supply lines disrupted

TDM has already reported that South Africa will have only 1 million swine flu vaccines available for a population of almost 50 million. It turns out that even the US can’t supply enough vaccines for its own population. As the weather in the lower 48 turns colder, the need for the H1N1 vaccine appears more acute. On Friday officials announced the delays in antigen production meant there will be less than 30 million vaccines supplied in October, a third down from the expected 40 million doses. The news sent cold shivers down the collective spine of a society bracing itself for the winter of fear.
