Pope happy with low-key Czech trip

Pope Benedict XVI finished his pilgrimage to a fiercely secular Czech Republic on Monday, reaching out to nonbelievers and asking an increasingly religiously diverse Europe to embrace Christian teachings. Though he often speaks on such contentious issues as race, abortion and same-sex marriage, a conciliatory Benedict made no direct mention of these on this trip. But the Vatican still pronounced the pontiff's 13th foreign trip a success, as did Czech President Vaclav Klaus, a non-Catholic, who enthused that the visit was"extraordinarily successful."
