Great Lakes region seeks more UN troops
Members of the Great Lakes have resolved to commit more troops to the Democratic Republic of Congo, where there’s an upsurge in violence. Angola and Congo Brazzaville have decided to send additional soldiers after last night’s summit concluded. South Africa, meanwhile, currently maintaining a battalion in the eastern DRC, cannot really even afford the troops that are there already.
