Video: Between the Lines – Andrew Feinstein
Twenty years ago John Matisonn, a councillor on the Independent Broadcasting Authority (a Chapter Nine body) went before SCOPA (Parliament’s watchdog committee on corruption) to blow the whistle on the first big case of corruption of the democratic era. Andrew Feinstein was an outspoken ANC MP on that committee. Standing up to corruption ended Matisonn’s government career. Five years later Andrew Feinstein was drummed out of Parliament for blowing the whistle on the toxic multibillion-rand arms deal. This week, Matisonn interviewed Feinstein on CTV’s BETWEEN THE LINES about Feinstein’s book exposing the global arms business, South African politics, and his acclaimed new documentary, Shadow World, which is soon to be broadcast in cinemas around the globe. By JOHN MATISONN.
