Pick n Pay strike set for Friday

Pick n Pay workers will take strike action on Friday over wages and working conditions, the SA Commercial Catering and Allied Workers' Union announced on Monday. The union is demanding a R550 a month wage increase or 12%, whichever is more. Other issues under negotiation include a discount on basic items, the price of subsidised meals, and guaranteed working hours for part-time employees, among others.  Read more: Sapa, via Fin24
