Newsweek in merger talks with The Daily Beast

According to the Wall Street Journal, Newsweek magazine and The Daily Beast website are talking about possibly merging their operations. If the deal goes through, The Daily Beast editor Tina Brown would be the editor of Newsweek, in addition to her responsibilities at the website. The Washington Post Company sold Newsweek to Sydney Harman in August for the price of $1.  Read more: Reuters
