NEWSFLASH: China’s Liu Xiaobo wins Nobel peace prize

Chinese human rights activist Liu Xiaobo has been awarded the 2010 Nobel Prize for Peace "for his long and non-violent struggle for fundamental human rights in China". He is currently serving an 11-year prison sentence for "incitement to subvert state power" and it is unlikely that he is aware that he is now a Nobel Laureate.  Read more: The Guardian
