Solar Park proposed for Upington
Energy minister Dipuo Peters has announced that South Africa will be seeking billions of dollars in investment to build a solar power park in Upington. The proposed park will provide 5,000 megawatts of electricity, which will then be sold on to the national grid. The department of energy, together with the Clinton Climate initiative, will host a conference in Upington in late October to try to attract investors to the project.
