Four accused of lesbian murder escape
Four of the men accused of killing Zoliswa Nkonyana in an alleged lesbian-hate murder in 2006, have escaped from their holding cell. Five other men charged in unrelated cases have also escaped from the Khayelitsha magistrate's court holding cell. A tenth prisoner, who chose not to escape, said that the gate had been left unlocked. Gender activists in Khayelitsha said that they felt threatened by the fact that the men were at large.
