BMF disputes JSE BEE numbers

The Black Management Forum (or just chief executive Jimmy Manyi) say that the black ownership numbers released by the JSE a few days ago are misleading. According to the JSE, once you remove all the assumptions, only 8% of the top 100 companies are directly black-owned. The figure that everyone is running with is 18%, but could be as high as 36%. According to the BMF, the figure is only 5%, and you can expect Manyi to make a lot of angry noises about that in the near future. Read more: Eyewitness News, The Daily Maverick
