Butana Komphela threatens Bafana Bafana name

Sports portfolio committee chairman Butana Komphela has told the SA Football Association that the name of the SA soccer team (that would be Bafana Bafana, if you've forgotten in the 10 days since the World Cup) might be changed, according to The Citizen. This is the same man who tried, unsuccessfully, to have the Springboks renamed. The attempt to rename the soccer team reportedly revolves around the fact that Safa doesn't own the Bafana Bafana trademark. Whatever, we don't think the people of South Africa will stand for renaming our boys.  Read more: The Citizen
