US lesbian teen gets $35,000 payout over cancelled prom
Constance McMillan has been paid $35,000 to settle a discrimination lawsuit filed against her school district in Mississippi after she was not allowed to bring her girlfriend to her high school prom. The district had chosen to cancel the prom rather than allow the lesbian couple to attend.
