Public service unions threaten strike action

The Public Servants' Association will go on strike from 29 July, the trade union announced on Wednesday. The government has offered a wage increase of 6.5% and a R120 raise to the current R500 housing allowance. The Police and Prisons Civil Rights Union has said it will join the strike.  Read more: Sapa via the M&G
