Numsa wants ArcelorMittal to be nationalised

The National Union of Metalworkers of SA has called for ArcelorMittal SA to be nationalised. Numsa feels that the fight over iron ore prices between ArcelorMittal and Kumba Iron Ore provides reason enough to nationalise the steel maker. The union has made no allusion to the fact that in its previous incarnation, as Iscor, ArcelorMittal was in fact partially owned by the government. Read more: Times Live
