Nokia Siemens acquires Motorola network unit for $1.2bn

Nokia Siemens Networks, a joint venture between none other than Nokia and Siemens, has said it will buy Motorola's telecom network equipment business. Nokia Siemens will stump up $1.2 billion for the acquisition, which will improve its position in the all-important North American market. Read more: Reuters
