Obama administration goes to court to get drilling ban reinstated
The US government will be in Court on Thursday afternoon - the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit in New Orleans, to be precise - seeking to have Judge Martin Feldman's ruling against the six-month moratorium on deep sea drilling overturned. The ban, which stipulates the suspension of drilling below 500 feet, was imposed by the Obama administration in the wake of the BP oil spill the in the Gulf of Mexico.
